BMRCL cracks down garbage dumping

Bengaluru: To stop the waste disposal at the Median Metro, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) now identifies blackspots throughout the city.
The median under the Corridor of Namma Metro along the purple and green lines is often used to dispose of garbage and debris.
As a pilot, BMRCL dries security guards at CMH Road in Indiranagar.
BL Yahwanth Chavan, Head of Public Relations Official BMRCL, said: “We have identified Blackspots along the Metro corridor.
We mobilized security guards at CMH Road to educate the locals.
We now work with BBMP to clean up the garbage from these spots.” BMRCL It has also warned a fine of Rs 500 for them to throw garbage in the median.
“It’s a collective responsibility to keep our city clean.
If they continue to throw garbage, then we will collect fines from them,” he said.
Vasanth Kumar, who lives near CMH Road, said: “Especially, the BBMP pollutes this median.
Somehow they have to do a door-to-door collection or provide waste to dispose of garbage.
Many commercial companies also throw garbage here.
We don’t have space Open other to dispose of garbage so we also throw it here.
“However, a BBMP official said:” This is a common problem on the CMH road to the ulsoor side as a slums side by side throwing garbage at night.
If the waste night collection can begin here With the announcement system, it will have a big impact.
“By 2020, BMRCL signed a mous with Sparsh Hospital and NGO United Way Bengaluru to beautify the median along the two corridors.
In fact, BMRCL installed metal barricades along the median of several parts.
At present, most of the medians are filled with garbage and construction debris, especially in areas such as Indiranagar, JP Nagar, Ulsoor, Byappanahalli, Yelachenahalli, PEENYA and Mysore Road.
While BBMP has claimed the median is a BMRCL property, the Metro Agency is used to associate poor maintenance for limited resources.
In fact, BMRCL previously planned to outsourcing the median maintenance of the Metro to a private company, but the proposal aroused a warm response after the BBMP ban on advertising.
Some companies say they are not in a position to maintain maintenance without advertising income.
Maintenance work includes watering and trimming Sayus and cleaning areas.
In March 2015, the Bangalore (BPAC) political action committee filed a complaint with Lokayukta, sending 700 photos of debris and waste along the median metro and close to the station.
