BMTC Bus Burned: Driver, Conductors save 25 lives

Bengaluru: When the smoke starts utilizing the engine, 25 passengers onboard BMTC Bus KA-57 F-1592 began to panic.
But before the bus could burn, two real life heroes came to their rescue – the CP Ravichandra bus driver and GP Girish Kumar conductor.
“We can get stuck and the worst can happen.

Calculating the incident, Kumar said: “We made the seventh trip that day to the Kempegowda bus station and I was busy pulling tickets to three passengers who had taken the bus in Chamarajpet, when I got a burning smell.

“When I slowed down, I noticed the smoke coming from under the hood.
I’m not sure what really happened, but realizing something very wrong.
When smoke thickened, I realized there might be a fire anytime.
I immediately deflected the bus to the left extreme And park it.
Girish and I reminded all passengers and asked them to rush out of the door as soon as possible, “said Ravichandra.
Kumar took passengers from the bus and made them ride the BMTC bus which was a magnificent bound.
“When I returned to the bus and peeked under the vehicle, I could see the fire on the chassis.
I told Ravichandra to get out of the driver’s seat.” Ravichandra went down, but returned to the vehicle to take an identity card, debit card and ticket bundle bundle.
However, the cards burned at the time and in a few minutes, the vehicle was filled with fire.
“We got water from a tanker used to clean the bus shelter Makkala BMTC Koota nearby and tried to extinguish the fire.
Meanwhile, someone got a water pipe from the nearest children’s park,” added Ravichandra.
But their efforts do not match the raging fire.
Immediately, the fire tender reaches the place and extinguishes the fire.
Traffic on Jalan Pampa Mahakavi stopped for 40 minutes.

“He was pregnant and I didn’t want him to be surprised.
I wanted to call him immediately and tell him I was safe, but didn’t do it late at night.” Kumar added: “It was an almost missing experience.
