Board members get 15 days to submit a revised proposal

Thiruvananthapuram: Nearly seven months after the city area and state planning submitted a Master 2040 plan draft to the center and initiated the consultation process among members of the Environmental Council, only eight of them so far suggested environmental level revisions.
This was revealed in the Board document presented at the latest council meeting where all agenda items, including the master plan for the city, were declared as passed in less than 10 minutes.
The Mayor of Arya Rajendran made a declaration after protests performed by UDF and BJP council members regarding tax fraud at zon offices in the city.
Because of the tense scene at the council meeting, there was no discussion that could be held on this issue.
The agenda shows that council members are given a development proposal for each ward and directed to submit changes and revisions in a month.
However, the revised proposal only came from eight of the 100 wards.
It has forced the council to come up with the ultimatum that if a new revised proposal is not available within 15 days, records of existing and compiled proposals will be considered as agreed.
The timeline has been repaired by quoting that the corporation needs to complete the parent plan bound.
The agenda contains a proposal for reconstitution special committees for the master plan.
The leader of the Parliamentary Party D Anil has read the names of board members and said the consultation will be carried out with BJP in connection with their representatives in the Special Committee that has the mayor as a chair Personal and the Corporate Secretary as conventional.
The publication of the Master 2031 plan design has caused intense protests both inside and outside the council, especially due to differences of opinion about proposals.
Although environmental level consultation has been dragged at slow speed during the council’s term of office, especially to prevent the same situation while publishing a Master 2040 plan design, the move made more damage than the goodness in the move.
Even the newly chosen council rarely brought this problem to the council meeting until Friday when the agenda for reconstitution of special committees was introduced and passed without discussion.
The city and state planning department completed work on the GIS-based master plan design for the Trivandrum-2040 has initiated the initial steps to take the master plan design for the approval of the Corporate Council.
The meeting in this case was held in June.
Officials held a presentation to introduce new council members and members of the city planning committee to various components of the GIS-based planning plan.
The department continued a draft from the Trivandrum master’s plan to the State Mission Management Unit in March.
Then submitted to the center.
Board members are given a proforma to fill in their input which will form a part of the discussion when the master plan design appears for the discussion of the council.
