Body 5 Trekker Taken in Uttarakhand

Pithoragarh: The body of five trekkers from West Bengal, who was lost during the expedition in Himalayas, was taken on Tuesday from the Sundardhunga glacier in the district of Bageshwar Uttarakhand.
The search and rescue team was still in place to find their lost guide Khilaf Singh, a resident of Jakuni Village from the Kapkot Kapkot Sub-Division.
“The 13-member rescue team consisting of NDRF and Srif personnel on Tuesday reached Devi Kund near the Sundardhunga glacier where five bodies had been seen and took everything,” said Bageshwar District Hakétrate Kumar.
“The body has been sent to the Kapkot for Postmortem,” he said bad weather had thwarted several efforts for the past few days to take the bodies, Kumar said.
Sixty-five tourists, including five trekkers, on Tuesday stranded at the Sundardhunga glacier after three days of rain record in Uttarakhand from October 17-19, he said.
