MADURAI: The Figure of a newborn Infant baby was recovered by a waterbody near Alanganallur in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
Villagers who had been taking bath at the Periyar station at 15B Mettupatti detected a suitcase floating in the water.
They opened the bag and then watched that the body of a toddler.
They alerted the police.
A group in the Samayanallur all-woman police station reached the area and recovered the body and started a question.
A case has been registered according to a complaint issued by Vavidaimaruthur village administrative officer Kalrani.
