Bokaro: Jawaharlal Nehru (JNB) Biology Park (JNB), also known as Bokaro Zoo, has begun preparation to help his animals beat cold.
Zoo officials, owned and run by Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), said they focused on providing natural solutions rather than installing heaters to keep animals warm.
“We cut tree branches so that enough sunlight can enter the cover,” said BSL Communication Head, Manikan Dhan.
Dhan also said they would also install heaters in the cover based on needs.
Zoo employees also make seating of campfire in strategic places, especially near deer and blackbucks cover.
“Deer likes to sit a few meters from the fire to stay warm.
The attachment is also equipped with a straw and wooden board,” he said.
The curtain was also installed in the appendix of leopard, tigers and lions to stop.
Cold waves from entering in the city IV sector and are home to various animals, birds and trees.
A total of 26 animal cages are located in the zoo.
At present, around 1,500 people visit zoos every day and the amount passes during the winter.
