Bombay high court: Centre more Stressed about Business Supporting’faulty’ ventilators than Sufferers

MUMBAI: The Aurangabad seat of the Bombay high court on Friday slammed against the Centre because of the”insensitive” strategy over the dilemma of distribution of over a hundred dysfunctional ventilators into hospitals at Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
A vacation bench of Justices R V Ghuge and B U Debadwar noticed the Union administration was concerned about the business that made and provided the dysfunctional ventilators compared to the lives of taxpayers.
The seat was hearing petitions pertaining to Covid-19 pandemic.
Before this week, many attorneys in Aurangabad had advised the courtroom that 113 ventilatorsout of 150 provided from the Centre under the PM Cares Fundthat were faulty.
The court had subsequently sought to understand from the Union authorities what actions it proposes to have the matter.
On Friday, assistant attorney general Ajay Talhar filed an affidavit filed with the union health ministry, which said that the ventilators weren’t provided underneath the PM Cares Fund.
The affidavit further stated the organization, where the ventilators were secured, had stated there was not anything wrong with all the apparatus and also the ventilators it had provided to other nations were working correctly
