Bengaluru: Basavaraj Bommai-led by the Government of Bharatiya Janata in Karnataka is a clear majority in Beleagavi and Hubballi-Dharwad in the General Election of the Municipal corporation while completing the second in Kalaburagi.
Minister of Main Minister of Bukavaraj Bommai, who dubbed the results of the election as a clean sweep that supports his aged government in the ‘sample test’, said the BJP would be powerful in all three city companies.
The election took place on September 3 and the results were announced on Monday.
According to officials of the Karnataka State Election Commission, in Bellagavi 58-seats, BJP Won 35, Congress 10, Asaduddin Owaisa All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) one and 12 independent.
In the 82 seat Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, BJP won 39 seats, Congress 33, Aimim 3, JD (s) 1, independent six.
In Kalaburagi Municipal Corporation, the election lasts for 55 seats, where Congress won 27, BJP 23, JD 4 and Mandiri one seat.
Going with the indication given by BOMMAI, BJP, JD (s) and independently can join hands, an BJP appetizer claims.
He also did not rule out the possibility of a group of congresses that separate themselves to support BJP.
A bommai Jubilant said, “It’s almost like a sample test after one month after I took over my office.
From all three, we have got clear majority in two city companies and in the third we are also in a close race.
But we will make a majority there Also.
“He said all three companies would have a BJP mayor.
Bommai congratulates the BJP ministers, MLA and leaders who work hard for the election in Batawayavi.
“For the first time in history, BJP holds a majority and we will have our own mayor.
Mes will control it otherwise,” said the ministerial head.
He said this is a good sign for the government and carnataka.
Bommai said Hubballi-Dharwad had become a BJP fortress for a long time while the party violated the reason in Kalaburagi.
“This is a clean and fat stroke for Congress.
It also shows that people have faith in the new government,” said Bommai.
