Bommai to visit Delhi to discuss the Mekedatu project

Bengaluru: Chairman of the Minister of Bukavaraj Bommai said on Tuesday that he would travel to Delhi on Wednesday or Thursday and meet the Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The visit took place in the midst of disagreement between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for the Mekedatu project.
Bommai said that he would also hold a discussion with the Karnataka legal panel led by Advocate General Prabhuling Navadgi and other senior lawyers and limestone strategies to deal with water sharing disputes with neighboring countries.
“I tried to get information about how to continue remembering the existing water dispute,” he added.
On Monday, the Tamil Nadu government said that it would appeal at the Supreme Court, challenging the command of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in the problem of the Dam Mekedatu.
Karnataka has proposed a reservoir balancing in Mekedatu in Ramanagara District, a plan that Tamil Nadu opposes, says they will affect the supply of water and cause problems for farmers.
JD intends to launch the March justice that demands Karnataka in various water disputes.
Bommai said that the party had the freedom to continue his protest.
“But history has seen fighting parties and work together in water problems and land related,” he said.
Bommai said that the Government of Karnataka always strives to protect the rights of the country in water and land and will continue to do so.
Bommai also searched for appointments from Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajnath Singh, Mansukh Mandaviya and Narendra Singh Tomar.
On if he would also discuss filling four slots left in his cabinet with BJP Brass, Bommai said that he would talk to the President of the JP Nadda Party if he had the opportunity.
