Bommai took an oath as a cm k’taka; The race for the portfolio starts

Bengaluru: Basavaraj Bommai was appointed as Minister of Chief Chief Karnataka on Wednesday, dropping curtains on Sundays of uncertainty over leadership in the state, and paved the way for BJP to bind the assembly selection of 2023.
Dress in the standard cotton of kurta and draped with silk shawls Pinkish-Saffron, the 61-year-old leader was accompanied by a ceremony in the greenhouse of Raj Bhavan by his family members but the extraordinary presence was BS Yediyurappa, underlining the continuation of the importance at BJP.
Want to eliminate the impression that the former CM will retreat – drive his government, Bommai categorically said: “I won’t be CM cm.” While he will seek Yediyurappa’s advice and take his expertise, Bommai added, he will work to get a “approval stamp from the people”.
This, when the male party hordes made the road to Yediyurappa’s house to lobby for the minister’s bed on Wednesday in the initial indicator where the power center rested.
On a signal, by Vijayendra, the younger Yediyurappa son, announced, “I will no longer be called Super CM”, in reference to such a spite aimed at him during his father’s dispensation.
Previously on that day, Bommai offered a prayer at the Temple of Bhagavan Sri Maruthi and asked for a former cm in his house and looked for his blessing before heading to Raj Bhavan.
After the example of his predecessor and his mentor, he then held a one-person cabinet meeting with high-ranking officials and announced many populist welfare schemes.
This includes scholarship programs for farmers’ children with a cost of Rs 1,000 Crore.
“This will help students from the agrarian family to pursue higher education,” said the ministerial head.
Retirement for widows and financial assistance to be disabled will increase from Rs 600 to Rs 800 every month at an additional cost of Rs 504 Crore.
This will benefit 17 lakh widows and 4 lakh disabled people.
“The retirement of old age under Sandhya Surakha’s scheme will increase from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,200 at an additional cost of Rs 864 Crore, helping 36 lakh people,” said Bommai.
These steps have been taken, consider inflation.
“Our government will reach parts of society that requires social security,” New CM said.
He also added in the same breath that maintains fiscal discipline through efficient use of resources and reduces expenses, given the financial crisis induced covid, will be a priority.
“I have emphasized the coordination between departments, team work and the implementation of the scheme that is bound by time to avoid corruption and reduce unnecessary expenditure of 5%,” he said.
The big challenge of the next bommai is to expand the cabinet.
“I will go to Delhi on Friday to meet Brass BJP, including PM Narendra Modi, and will discuss all the problems, and look for their advice,” he said.
Asked whether he would wait for the month ‘Ashada’ to graduate before expanding, he said: “I will not take too much time because I need a complete team to do work, in the middle of Covid and flood.”
