Booked in a rape case, BJP MLA moves U’Khand HC

Nainital: BJP MLA from Jwalapur, Suresh Rathore, who was recently alleged by rape of a rape of a worker, has submitted a petition at the Uttarakhand High Court who is looking for protection from arrest.
The petition was filed in the High Court on Monday and will come to hear in a few days, said Advisor Mla Aditya Pratap Singh.
FIR against Rathore was submitted by Haridwar police at the Bahadabar Police Station recently at the command of the Haridwar court.
MLA has claimed in the petition that the accusation of rape of it was unfounded and had sought protection from arrest.
He also claimed to be in the petition that the accusation was leveled by women and her husband opposed it because he had not paid Rs 30 lakh as extortion money for them.
Rathore also said he received the threat that his image would be tarnished on social media if he did not pay the amount.
