Boost for Lighthouse Tourism

Bhubaneswar: Lighthouse Tourism is ready to get a big boost in Odisha because the center has initiated an action for the development of five lighthouts in Public-Private-Partners (PPP) mode.
Minister of Union Port, shipping, and Sarbanou’s Sonowal water channel told this in a written reply at Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
The lighthouse that will be developed is Gopalpur Lighthouse in Ganjam, Puri and Chandrabhaga Lighthouse in Puri, Paradip Lighthouse in Jagatsinghpur in Kendrapada District.
The project component for the development of the lighthouse has been completed and permission from the Coastal Zone Management Authority for the Coastal Zone of Coastal Regulations and other local agencies is sought.
Because the projects above exist in PPP mode, there is no allocation of funds considered.
