Boost to Traditional Medicine Northeast

Guwahati: In a big boost for the initiative to promote the practice of traditional medicine in the Northeast, the Union Portist, shipping and waterways and ayush sarbanou sonowal on Saturday announced many initiatives, which included preparing 1,000 new health and fitness centers (HWC) in this region , as part of the National Ayush Mission (NAM) scheme.
Sonowal also announced that the center will establish 100 Ayush pharmacies in the region and Ayurvedic College in Dudhnoi in the destination district under the National Ayush Mission with the cost of RS 70 Crore projects.
The Ayurvedic College government in Guwahati will be developed as the center of excellence, he said.
Sonowal made an announcement at the Ayush Conference and Health Care of Northeast Countries for the Ayush System promotion, which was attended by Minister Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma as a major guest along with MOS for Ayush and the development of children and children Dr.
Munjabhai Kalubhai, Minister of Health Assam, Nagaland And sikkim along with senior state officials ne and industry leaders present at the conference.
Overcoming the delegation at the conference, said Himanta, “Ayush is our inheritance and intrinsically related to our civilization.
Whatever we contribute to the Ayush system, it will further enrich our civilization”.
Sonowal said the purpose of 1000 HWC was to provide a holistic health model based on the principles of the Ayush drug system.
He added that 12,500 HWC must be operationalized in this country.
“All countries are asked to post a specific proposal to the service to open a new Ayush education institution,” Sonowal said.
In addition, the facilitation center for the Semi Processing of raw materials will be opened at Ne.
Along with this, it was also considered to establish a Rawoal Narcotics Repository (RRDR) in NE stating working with the National Institute of Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development in Imphal, Manipur under the Department of Bio-Technology.
He further said the National Medicinal Plant Council (NMPB) would form a facilitation center to process raw products in the region.
He added that the steps would be taken for the implementation of the Ayush health management system and established investment of India’s strategic center and the facilitation bureau in the northeast.
