In the Pratapgarh district too, preparation has begun.
Here too, the plan to start the provision of Covid vaccines to 15 to 18 years from January 3 and the third dose for medical professionals, frontline health staff and senior citizens with comorbidity from January 10, 15-18 years will be given by Covaxin in accordance with government instructions.
In addition, ZYCOV-D – The world’s first plasmid DNA vaccine against Covid-19 – will also be given in Prayagraj.
This will be provided using a needle-free applicator called ‘pharmajet’.
The use of this needle-free applicator allows the delivery of intradermal free vaccines, and significant reduction in any main side effects, officials claim.
