Booth polls to get CCTVs from Saturday 5pm in Kolkata

Kolkata: The State Election Commission will install CCTV cameras in all polling rooms throughout the city at 5 pm on Saturday.
CCTV cameras will also be installed in the calculation center, which will have armed guards.
Police Commissioner Kolkata Soumen Partner stated that the CRPC sec 144 will be applied in the city starting at 5am on Sunday until the voting process is complete at night.
In his poll preparedness, the police had decided to close several roads close to distribution centers and the collection of EVS and also to shift a particular bus and auto stand in various parts.
The movement of traffic around the Netaji Indoor and Gitanjali stadium, which will be the main center, will be transferred.
Restrictions will also be charged on the circular road Ballygunge between Ballygunge Phanri and Gurusaday Road from Friday to Sunday and again on Tuesday.
Similar camps will be implemented at Alipore around Collectoran and at Judges Court Road.
Jalan Harish Mukherjee, Behala Chowrasta and Thakurkukur will also witness restrictions, while traffic on Jalan DH will be transferred on the calculation day, December 21.
The transfer will be carried out in North Kolkata too, right from Sinthi.
