Border line: Amit Shah spoke to Assam, Mizoram CMS

New Delhi: Minister of Houses Union Amit Shah on Sunday spoke with Minister Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma and Mizoram CM Zoramthanga by telephone to relieve tension boundaries between the two northeastern countries.
During a telephone call, it was decided to resolve the border problems peacefully through meaningful dialogue, said Zoramthanga.
“In accordance with the telephone discussion with the Minister of Housecon of the Union and Minister of Assam Minister, we agreed to resolve the border issue of Mizoram-Assam peacefully through meaningful dialogue,” Mizoram CM Tweet.
Zoramthanga also urged Mizoram people to refrain from posting provocative messages and social media abuse to reduce ongoing tensions.
“Meanwhile, to prevent the possibility of escalation of the situation, I asked Mizoram people to avoid posting sensitive messages and making the use of a wise social media platform,” he said.
Tensions continued in the border area after the clash of violence which took place near the city of Vairengte in the district of Kolastic Mizoram on July 26, leaving at least seven people from Assam, including six police personnel, died.
This center has been deployed about five companies from Central Armed Police forces (CRPF) to relieve tension.
