Guwahati: The opposition in the Legislative Assembly Assam created a commotion and forced speaker Bisang Daimary to postpone the house on a recent flare-up on the border of Assam-Mizoram.
The opposition gathered at home wells, looking for a neutral investigation either by the CBI or Nia into the July 26 incident where six police personnel Assam were shot dead by Mizoram police.

Congress Mla Kamalakhya de Purkayastha said the limit dispute began in October 2020 and questioned why the government failed to act on the warning issued by the opposition.
“We have given a letter to the union government that tells this problem,” Purkayastha said.
He asked, “Even after that, why did Assam police personnel die? Wrong is this?” In response, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pijush Hazarika said Assam and Mizoram were not two different countries, but neighboring countries India.
“We have to solve our problems through the dialogue and the process has begun,” he said.
He added, “But I want to notify the house that 34 people died during the Congress work during clashes between countries since 1974.”
