Agra: ‘Bored’ with an online class and angry after being scolded by parents, a 11-year-old girl and nine-year-old brother fled their homes in Mathura in the middle of the night and managed to take it to Bawana Delhi where their trip was cut short by Travel agencies who see children alone and tell their parents.
The duo is a cousin and has a plan to go to a residential school for underprivileged children in Es31rishikesh Uttarakhand where “they don’t need to pay fees”.
On Friday night, they packed clothes and shoes and sneaked out of their home at 1.30 in the morning when the family was sleeping.
Children walk about 10 km to reach Yamuna’s freeway from where they take the bus to Delhi.
“Around 6 am they were revealed at the Toll Jewar Plaza because they did not have money but they hitched into the bus depot in the loss.
A travel agent found them asking about the bus to Rishikesh.
He asked them to contact their parents’ contact information and then told them , “Responsible for Kolahar Chowki in Mathura, Arun Tevatiya Sub Inspector, to Ti.
Back home, parents have noticed that children are missing when they wake up at 4.30 in the morning.
A pine was submitted in Kolahar Chowki under section 363 (kidnapping) and the police began scanning CCTV recordings around the house, said Mathura SP (countryside) Chandra Shireesh.
“We found children walking towards the highway in CCTV footage,” he said.
The two sets of parents have been in the police station when they got a call from unknown numbers that their children were on the bus depot in the lead.
A Delhi police team was told and they demanded children.
Children are then handed over to their parents.
“Children tell us that they are bored and fussy with online class.
They were also scolded at home, so they decided to study at a housing school,” Chandra said.
Parents, who run two levels of college in Vrindavan, are now advising how to identify signs of stress in children during locking.
The girl’s father told Tii, “We are very fortunate that there is nothing unwanted to our children.
12 hours missing are the longest of our lives.”
