Attari: Pakistani Hindu pair, Bala Ram and Nibhu, have named the ‘border’ of their new son when he was born on Attari’s international border.
“We have committed the border because they will always remind us of our difficulties on the International Border Attari, especially spent a cold night in the open,” Ram said, who along with Nibhu’s wife, four more children and around 100 Hindu pilgrims camping near the checkpoint Integrated (ICP) from Attari.
Border was born on 2.
December Jatha has arrived in September, but it is not allowed to cross the border due to the end of their Covid-19 test report and to want the outgoing letter needed after the end of their visa.
All of them have arrived in India about one and a half years ago to visit Hindu temples, but could not return because of covid-induced locking and going to Rajasthan where they worked as a booster of stones in Jaipur and Jodhpur.
RAM said they were camping here in the open for the past for two months waiting for the completion of paper formalities.
“We have appealed to the Indian government to send us back, but we were told that one family could not be sent back and we had to stay up through the visa or letter out we arrived,” he said.
Nibhu also gave birth to a girl in Jodhpur and named him Bharti.
“Names will remind them of their Indian connection,” he said.
In August, a Hindu Pakistani woman named Rani had given birth to a girl, Nilakhi, in Jodhpur.
Nilakhi was only three days old when he was with his parents and three siblings of Sagar, Deepa, Hemraj, and other Jatha members arrived at ICP on the way home.
The family turned back 100 Pakistani Hindu citizens at Attari International Border, they all crossed the border to Pakistan on Monday night after they received their travel documents.
However, Bala Ram and Nibu’s family was sent back by Pakistani authorities.
Protocol officers, ICP, Arun Kumar, said that India had cleared all Pakistani citizens but the RAM family was sent back when Pakistani authorities demanded that newborns must have a birth certificate and passport.
