PUDUCHERRY: The leader of the Senior Congress V Narayanasamy has collected Prime Minister Narendra Modi by showing ‘uninterest’ to acknowledge Puducherry’s request for the state.
Overcoming the reporter on Friday night, he said when Modi was visiting the Union region for the poll campaign in February, he did not respond to AINRC’s requests made on public campaigns here for the state for the Puducherry.
“The prime minister chose to remain silent on demand and this proved that he was not interested in giving a state for Puducherry,” he said.
The Delegation of two Puducherry ministers belonging to BJP and also other legislators from the party who met with the Prime Minister and the recent minister in Delhi did not demand citizenship.
“Therefore it is very clear that the Prime Minister and BJP are not interested in ensuring the state for Puduchers,” he said.
Narayanasamy remembered that the congress and its alique partners had launched a series of agitations for the government during the previous Congress government headed by him here.
“After state status is available, the financial status of the Puducherry will improve.
Decisions taken by the selected government can be implemented quickly and the Puducherry will be included in the Central Finance Commission,” Show it.
