Lucknow: King George’s Medical University (KGMU) has hired guards to escort new students from hostels to class to protect them from Ragging when the new session starts on Monday.

The MBBS academic session starts on August 1 every year, but the batch session 2021-22 has been postponed by almost six and a half months.
Given this situation, this session duration has been reduced from 13 months to 11 by the National Medical Commission.
