Letter: The Mota Varachha region in the city was arrested on Wednesday to regulate the function of the Betis wedding that violated the Covid-19 limit.
Thousands of people gathered in the function held on January 14 at Ladvi Village.Jayanti Malani, a resident of Mota Varachha, was arrested for alleged violations of restrictive orders.
Complaints in this case was submitted by J D Mir, Sub Inspector, Police Station Kamrej.
The defendant was ordered under various parts of the IPC including disobedience to order properly announced by civil servants (188) and negligent actions (269).
They were also ordered under the Covid-19 epidemic disease regulation acting, disaster management actions and epidemic disease actions.
Based on a preliminary investigation, SP Usha Rada Desai transferred four police officers on duty in the area where the event was held.
Jaypalsinh Manubha, Assistant Sub Inspector, Tushar Dattatrey, Constable, Dinesh Raysing and Lalji Mer, from Lok Rakshak, was transferred from the Kamrej police station for Lib and Reader Branch.
