Coimbatore: A 15-year-old boy stabbed his father for attacking his mother in a drunken condition in Bharathidasan Nagar in Tirupur on Saturday.
The boy’s parents run the canteen at the Banian company.
Police said the mother of a child suffered a heart problem.
His father often hit him under the influence of alcohol.
On Saturday, the man began to attack his wife in the canteen.
The boy, who witnessed the incident, suddenly took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his father.
The man died in place.
Baniyan’s company employee told the police Anupparpalayam who rushed to the place.
The small boy was arrested and produced before the Juji Justice Board.
Then, he lodged in the observation of a house for teenagers in Junction Mills Lakshmi in the city.
