Boy drifted when trying to take a selfie

Kalakurichi: A 12-year-old boy was swept away when he tried to take a selfie on his cellphone at the waterfall in the Kallakurichi district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
Police said four children from Vanapuram in this district visited Sirigaling Waterfall on Kalvarayan Hill on Sunday morning for bathing.
One of them, identified as Suresh, tried to take selfies with waterfalls in the background.
When he crossed the water, he slipped and was swept away.
His friends told the local community, which in turn was seeking the help of fire service personnel and rescue.
The fire service personnel team and rescue from Sankarapuram launched an effort to track it with the help of several local people.
The team continued his search for the second day on Monday.
