Jamshedpur: A 10-year-old boy, Suraj Parmanik, is likely to have drowned at the Kharkhai river Saturday when he reverted to it for bathroom.
After cyclone Yaas, the water level from the lake has increased and has been flowing above the danger mark on Friday.
Suraj along with his buddy Gopal Kumar dived collectively but that the latter escaped .
The incident happened at Sati ghat at Kadma, authorities said.
Health minister Banna Gupta, who’s also a native MLAwho has directed the district administration to follow the boy.
Suraj’s dad Baldev Parmanik reported the boys went into the lake for bathroom however, his son got swept away from the present while Gopal was rescued by four individuals on the lender.
The NDRF group was pressed however, the boy was not discovered till the period of submitting this report.
