Gurgaon: A teenager was allegedly assaulted by a group of men in Pataudi on Monday evening after he tried to stop them from passing lewd comments on his mother, police said on Friday.
The crime took place on Monday and a case was registered on Thursday when the teenager was discharged from hospital.
The 17-year-old boy, a resident of Nankula village, in his statement told police that he, his mother and a friend were taking a walk on a road leading to Daulatabad around 6.30pm on June 21 when the men started misbehaving with his mother.
The youths identified as Poli, Dada Kunni alias Rohit, Khota and 4-5 others came close to the trio and started passing lewd comments.
When the boy confronted them, they got angry.
Poli pulled out a gun and pointed it at the boy’s mother and his friend and threatened to kill them, he alleged.
In the meantime, another accused attacked the boy with a knife and he fell.
“Rohit, who was carrying a knife, tried to stab me, I protected myself and the knife struck in my right hand.
After a few minutes, they fled the spot,” he said.
The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital by his mother and his friend, but was referred to another hospital in Gurgaon.
On June 23, he was discharged, and on June 24, he filed a complaint at Pataudi police station against the men.
According to the police, they had received a call from the hospital on June 21 about the admission of a boy with stab injury and that he was referred to Gurgaon.
The medical report mentioned three injuries on the boy’s body.
After being discharged from the hospital, police recorded the 17-year old’s statement at his house and registered a case under section 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insult the modesty of any woman) of IPC and sections of Arms Act at Pataudi police station.
Police has already arrested two persons in connection with assault.
“Two of the accused had been arrested and we are trying to arrest the others,” said ACP (Pataudi) Bir Singh adding that they are hoping to nab the others at the earliest.
