Jaisalmer: Fifty-seven people have been ordered as 45 families who are socially boycotted by KHAP (Community) Panchayat here filed a complaint against Digtas, police said on Friday.
The family connected with the defendant in the murder case and was boycotted in November last year, Sho, Sankra, said Hanumana Ram.
Initially, the families tolerated social boycott but they recently approached the police, and pine registered with 57 people, he said.
The official said the family was connected with a man involved in the murder that occurred in October 2020, and members of the Panchayat community issued a dictate to boycott the family socially in November.
“Over the past few months, they faced social boycott but several members came and registered the case on August 22.
FIR has been listed under 384 and 385 IPC,” Sho said, adding that the problem was being investigated.
