Boys climb trees for cell signals, killed after a lightning strike

PALGHAR: A 15-year-old boy was killed and three other minors were injured when lightning hit them after they boarded a tree to look for cellphone networks in the Palghar Maharashtra district, an official said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Monday when the four boys came out for grazing livestock.
The district witnessed heavy rainfall along with thunder and lightning on Monday.
In the middle of a rough weather, the four boys climbed trees to get a cellphone network when lightning hit them, said an official.
One of the minors, identified as Ravindra Konda, died in that place, the official said, adding that his body was sent to a government hospital for Postmortem.
Three others, in the age group 14 to 16 years, received injury and underwent hospital treatment, officially added.
