Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Wednesday stated the final result for the appointment of 1,240 assistant engineers in seven different government departments.
BPSC has advertised 1,257 posts.
BPSC sources say candidates chosen will join PWD, PHED, small irrigation, water resources, building construction, rural work and planning and the state government development department.
Of all 1,240 successful candidates, 369 are women.
The number of wise appointments categories including 702 selfless, 147 scheduled castles, four scheduled tribes, 230 castes were very backward, 92 backward caste and 65 threw women.
The number of posts advertised for various departments included 236 in PWD, 64 in PHP, 31 in small irrigation, 284 in water resources, 122 in building construction, 250 in rural work, and 270 in planning and development.
The source said this was for the first time a large number of assistant engineers had been appointed by BPSC in one way.
Electricity checks for the appointment of assistant engineers (in response to advertising 02/2017) were held from 27 to 31 March 2019 and the results were published on January 24, 2021.
Around 3,107 candidates were called interviews between February 22 and April 19.
All candidates are tested mandatory for Covid-19 before the interview.

The sources further showed that all 75 candidates found positive Covid before their interview on the date scheduled to be called for interviewing again between 25 and 27 June.
