New Delhi: A man, who has a shop on the ground floor of a building, which collapsed in the Sabzi area of bathing here killed two children, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly doing repair work that weakened the structure, the police said.
Mohak Arora (26), a regional resident, recently bought a shop in a four-story building and renovation, they said.

“Introduction investigation has revealed that Arora has been removed from the ground floor of the building on Sunday during the ongoing renovation working in his shop which caused the weakening of the building structure and finally, it collapsed on Monday,” said a senior police officer.
The building at the North Delhi market where was jammed caused the death of Somya (12) and Prashant Gupta (7), who walked past them with their mother.
The shop, which was bought by Arora, previously sold milk, and he was renovating because he wanted to start a job related to electrical equipment, police said, adding that he already had a shop that sold electric items on the bath Sabzi.
