Thiruvananthapuram: Before the shock wave made by two murders and suicide – all committed to drunken anger – in Kallambalam in this district has settled, but other murders have been reported in the district.
This time, the murder has occurred below the boundary of the Vizhinjam police station in the city.
In this case the action was committed during the fight on liquor.
Sajikumar, 44, from Payattuvila near Uchakkada under the boundary of the Vizhin police station was the deceased.
The police have arrested two men who were identified as Biju aka Biju and Rajesh alias Porali Rajesh in connection with the incident.
Reji is the owner of a memo and warehouse shop adjacent to his shop.
The deceased, Sajikumar, are friends.
They consumed liquor in the warehouse along with two other friends, Sudheer and Saji.
Both of them were defendants, Biju and Rajesh, approached them and demanded money to buy liquor.
When Sajikumar refused to pay the money, it gave a way for a fight that soon grew into a fight.
In riot, the defendant grabbed a knife lying nearby in the warehouse and stabbed Sajikumar.
He rushed to Medical Medical Hospital Thiruvananthapuram.
But around 5 am on Friday, he gave up on his injury.
The mystery for this case, the three friends from the deceased had escaped immediately after the doctors confirmed death.
The police have launched a search for tracking them too.
“What we have learned so far is the version two that are accused and relatives of the deceased,” said the vizhinjam house supervisor, Prajeesh Sasi.
The deceased and friends used to consume liquor regularly at the Reji Warehouse.
Often, the drunken pora party has caused a disruption to the locals after the police even warned them not to repeat it.
The police suspect that this could be the reason why Reji and friends escape.
Only after the Sajikumar died, the police were told about the incident.
They immediately launched the probe.
Within an hour since starting the investigation, they arrested Rajesh from his residence.
Biju has escaped at that time.
The police tracked it on the plantation land near Payattuvila, where he was hiding, following a search using a drone camera.
