Patna: Criminals are determined with at least RS 20 lakh cash after opening a private bank ATM with the help of a gas cutter on Jalan Kacchi-Pakki under the conscious police station area in Muzaffarpur on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 3am when heavy rains in the area.
However, the police were told about it in the afternoon.
Sho of Satayendra Police Station Kumar Mishra said the ATM kiosk was from Axis Bank.
“Thieves use a gas cutter to open the coffin containing cash.
They also damage the CCTV camera installed in the kiosk.
We are investigating this problem and have requested information from the private bank concerned,” Sho added.
He said the kiosk used to function only during the day.
“The criminals first damaged the ATM kiosk shutter to get in.
When he escaped, the criminals pulled over the shutter so that no one could see the theft,” Sho said, adding CCTV camera footage installed in the neighborhood was scanned to identify criminals, ” he said.
