‘Breathing exercises, yoga keep pneumonia in the bay’

Patna: dangerous pneumonia, but can be prevented by adopting a healthier lifestyle, medical experts said.
Dr.
Manish Mandal Medical Supervisor said breathing exercises were the best way to strengthen the lungs.
“It might be done with yoga or even instilling the pleasure of blowing balloons,” he said and added that pneumonia might be allergic, infective or atypical and influence the lungs that lead to problems in breathing and other symptoms at any age, even though children are more vulnerable to catch this disease.
“About 400 of 1800 covid patients who died in Igim have severe pneumonia,” said Dr.
Mandal.
However, he said yoga or breathing exercises could minimize his chances among people.
Dr.
Lokesh Tiwari, the Head of the Pediatric Department in Aiims-Patna, called pneumonia as an ongoing health problem.
Malnutrition, unhealthy lifestyle and weak immunity are the main factors that lead to bacterial or viral pneumonia.
“About 40% of children are treated on the pediatric ICU at AIIMS-P suffering from pneumonia with varying severity,” he said.
Although anti-pneumonia vaccines are available free in government hospitals, many people fail to get their children vaccinated only due to lack of consciousness.
The best way to protect children from this disease is to encourage them to outdoor games or instill the practice of breathing exercises such as ‘pranayam’ at home or school, adding Dr.
Tiwari.
A child specialist Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, Dr.
Vivek Kumar Pandey called the gift and lack of nutrition that was not safe as the main cause of pneumonia in newborns and children.
“This might prove fatal if there is a child in one year if the right drug is not initially followed,” he said.
Unhealthy life and exposure to dirt and dust can trigger disease.
However, regular exercise can strengthen the lungs, he added.
Senior Pediatrician Dr.
Arun Shah from Muzaffarpur said, “Pneumonia in India accounts for 20% of the deaths in children around the world.
This causes difficulties to breathe and limit oxygen intake.
This can be caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses and is a disease contagious.
“He said symptoms of pneumonia include coughing, difficulty breathing, rapid breathing or wheezing.
Babies may experience the inability to feed or drink, unconsciousness or seizures, or worse.
Pneumonia is the biggest cause of death among children in the world.
Shah said exclusive breastfeeding for six months, supplementation of vitamin A and zinc and adequate nutrition was the best way to prevent.
