Bengaluru: Isro on Wednesday said that under the Chairman of the Indian Brics, the Head of Space Agent BRICS signed an agreement for cooperation in sharing remote sensing satellite data.
This agreement will enable building a virtual constellation from the remote sensing satellite determined by space institutions and each base station will receive data.
“This will contribute to strengthening multilateral cooperation among Space Agency BRICS in meeting the challenges faced by mankind, such as global climate change, major disasters and environmental protection,” Isro said.
The agreement was signed by the Chair of the ISRO K Sivan, China’s National Space Administrator (CNSA), Zhang Sejian, CEO of the South African National Space Agency Val Munsami, Brazilian Space Agency President Carlos Augusto Teixeira de Moura, and Director General of Rogozin General Rosozin.
