Municipal Corporation (SMC) letters say those who are due to the second dose will also be questioned and their entries will be prohibited if they cannot provide a satisfying reply.
However, those who have taken the first dose recently and their deadline for the second dose has not been completed, it will be permitted, said health officials.
After almost one and a half months, the queue was witnessed in vaccination centers in the city on Tuesday.
From Monday, SMC prohibits the entry of people who are not vaccinated in the office and facilities.
More than 7,000 people took their first dose on Tuesday.
“We hope the number of people who come to the second dose will also rise,” said Health Officer.
“We have instructed the authorities in the Mall, Multiplexes, and Gymnasium to check the vaccination certificate.
Those who are fully vaccinated or recently taken the first dose will be allowed to enter,” said a health official.
The team from the Ministry of Health held a meeting with the Mall Administrator, Multiplexes and Gymnasium to explain to them how to start checking vaccine certificates.
“We will scan the QR code on the application and then allow individuals.
We have started training our staff,” said Multiplex manager.
Commercial companies have begun to place posters at the entry point that informs about the rules.
