LONDON: The British government said that it was a scrapping rule for self-insulation for those who were fully vaccinated from mid-August, because the country prepares to lift most of the remaining koronavirus restrictions.
At present, people who are told that they have had a close relationship with someone who was tested positively having to enter self isolation for 10 days.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid said this rule no longer applies from August 16 to anyone who has received the Covid-19 vaccine dose.
Young people under 18 years no need to isolate unless they test positively, the changes will come as a big assistance for families with school children who have to repeatedly isolate and miss schools because of the cases reported in their class.
Javid said those who had made close contact with infected people would be advised to take the test as soon as possible.
Officials are looking eliminating insulation needs after traveling abroad for people who are fully vaccinated, he added.
“Step by step, Jab with Jab, we replaced the protection while restrictions on the long-term protection of vaccines, ” he said.
