LONDON: The UK recorded 44,104 new Koronavirus infections on Wednesday, down from 46,558 the day before, and 73 deaths, lower than 96 reported on Tuesday, official data showed.
Daily positive cases have increased widely in the UK for a month but a rapid vaccination program seems to have weakened the relationship between infection and death, with the daily death remains at a relatively low level.
Data also shows that 46.4 million people have the first dose of vaccines and 36.4 million have two.
