LONDON: Nearly 200 military tanker personnel will be deployed from Monday to provide temporary support to overcome long queues at gas stations in the UK due to lack of supply, the government announced on Saturday.
The shortcomings are caused by a shortage of severe truck drivers, especially heavy vehicle drivers (HGV) needed to supply fuel.
The government said that military personnel are currently conducting their training on Haulier sites throughout the country and will be on the road that gives fuel supplies from Monday.
