WASHINGTON: The 22-year-old Briton was arrested in Spain on Wednesday in connection with the twitter hacking July 2020, which compromised a high profile politician and celebrity account, said the Ministry of Justice A.S.
on Wednesday.
It named the British man as Joseph O’Connor and said he was arrested with many charges, and also accused of complaints with computer intrusion relations relating to the takeover of Tiktok and Snapchat accounts, and teen cyberstalsing.
Twitter attack 2020 July hijacked various verified Twitter accounts, including Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Tesla Elon Musk CEO.
Account by former President Barack Obama and TV Reality Star Kim Kardashian are also beaten.
Hackers are suspected of using an account to request a digital currency, push Twitter to take extraordinary steps to prevent multiple verified accounts from publishing messages for several hours to the security to be returned.
