The proposal to create a crematorium built with the first objective for Hindus in the UK has been approved, fulfilling the long-term desire of the community to be able to file a dignified farewell to those who die with traditional ceremonies.
Planning Inspectorate on December 16 gave Anoopam Mission UK Planning Permit for the Crematorium on the site of 15 hectares near Denham in the Southeast England.
The Buckinghamshire Board, where Denham Falls, has refused planning permission on September 4, 2020.
The Board consumed the plan “inappropriate development in Green Belt”.
But now the mission of Anoopam can assign structures on the SHREE Swaminarayan Spiritual Cultural and Community Center campus.
“We welcome this important decision and the opportunity for the Anoopam mission to serve the British Hindu population,” said Param Pujya Sahebji, the spiritual leader of Anoopam’s mission, in a statement.
“Observing ‘Antim Sanskar’ or the last ritual in accordance with Customs and Hindu rituals we provide liberation for the soul and peace of mind that has died for families during a sensitive time.” The crematorium will have a large ceremony hall, two private ritual rooms, shower facilities, chremical rooms, and separate canteen buildings.
This facility will accommodate up to 500 participants and will have a special parking lot.
Planning Inspector Katie McDonald notes that the Hindu community in this area “disadvantaged by rejected the opportunity to fully observe the trust and tradition of culture and religion”.
The inspector stated that the Hindu community, especially in North and West London and the surrounding countries have limitations in observing cultural and religious beliefs.
“Our big and calm field in Denham, with newly built pacing facilities, provides an ideal location for this’ Manav SWA ”, or service for humanity,” said Sahebji in the statement.
“We hope to work with all Hindu organizations to provide this vision for the whole community.” More than 2,000 signatures of support were accepted for proposals, with Lord Jitesh Gadhia and Bob Blackman MP spoke support the application during the appeal process.
The crematorium in the area is inadequate for all Hindu rites.
Waiting time to utilize facilities can be long and deepen grieving sadness.
“Crematorium design and related facilities have been specifically designed and designed architecture to meet the needs of Hindu communities,” according to media statements issued by Anoopam Mission.
