British PM calls anti-vaccine ‘Mumbo Jumbo’

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday crashed into anti-vaccine groups that spread “Mumbo Jumbo” on social media but ruled out England after several European countries in making Covid-19 vaccination mandatory.
Speaking during a visit to the vaccination center in Northampton in East England, Johnson said England would maintain a “voluntary approach” on vaccination programs compared to “coercion”.
However, he cursed the anti-vaxxers because of spreading complete nonsense and urging people to take their booster dose to protect against the omicron variant that surged.
“They (anti-vaxxers) are truly wrong and I think it’s time for me, the government, call them about what they do,” Johnson told reporters.
“Very wrong, it’s really counterproductive, and their belongings put out social media really Mumbo Jumbo …
You haven’t heard me say it before, because I think it’s important we have a voluntary approach in this country and we will keep the approach Voluntary, “he said.
Italy is the latest country to make mandatory vaccination for some people, with the whole 50s now told to have JAB.
Previously, Austria was one of the first countries to vaccinate legal requirements.
Johnson said that Omicron was lighter than the previous variant, “pressure at the hospital was clear”.
He showed that the National Health Office (NHS) was under the current “Pressure” and that it was a “tragedy” that some people refused what would make them safe and get out of the hospital.
“What a tragedy we have all the pressure on the NHS, all the difficulties experienced by doctors and nurses, and we have people out there spitting complete nonsense about vaccination,” he said.
“The saddest words in English ‘late’.
When you are in the ICU and you have not been vaccinated, unfortunately it’s too late to get vaccination, so get the urge now,” he added.
The British NHS announced that around 90 percent more than 50s have now received their third top up dose of Covid-19 vaccine booster and that millions of encountered appointments remain available to anyone who has not been encouraged.
“Very brilliant to see so many people get the dose of their Covid-19 vaccine vaccine, with 90 percent of those who qualify the age of 50 years and above now increase, and more than 29 million booster given in total,” said Dr.
Emily Lawson, Head of the NHS Covid Vaccination Program.
“Vaccination provides the best protection for you and your loved ones against Coronavirus, so if you meet the requirements – please enhanced now,” he said.
Meanwhile, the government hopes the peak of the omicron variant will be beaten immediately after the British records more than 190,000 daily infections.
Requirements for the PCR test confirmation to take a positive lateral flow test conducted on the home testing kit has been removed in an effort to relieve some pressure on laboratory testing and also overcome the absence of staff containing self isolation for cases that are lighter for seven days.
