British PM Johnson faces a rebellion in parliament with Covid steps

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson faces a major rebellion among his conservative parliamentary members on Tuesday in parliamentary vote for new restrictions to try to curb the spread of the new Omicron Coronavirus variant.
The steps, including ordered people to work from home, to wear masks in public places and use Covid-19 feedback to enter several places, it is expected to be approved by the parliament but with Johnson relies on the opposition workers to vote.
This is another blow for the Prime Minister who has been under pressure on the parties reported in his street office last year when such a meeting was banned, repairs his expensive apartment from Afghanistan.
Many budgets said the restrictions were Draconian, with some questioning the introduction of vaccination certification, nicknamed Covid’s passport, to enter several places, such as nightclubs.
Others used voices as an opportunity to vent their anger at Johnson, believing that people who helped conservatives win the majority in the 2019 election waste the success of the party with misstatements and mistakes.
But apart from the hospitality of dissatisfaction, the people in the conservative party said there was no blob of Johnson to expel him now, without the potential challenger ordered enough support to replace it.
“Boris on a bad day is better than other Wannabes on a good day,” said a conservative veteran.
Parliamentarians will start sequential sounds in steps in turn from 1830 GMT.
The government said these steps were needed to stem the spread of omicrons, which accounted for more than 40% of infections in London and are expected to become dominant tensions in the British capital.
One person had died after contracting the variant and 10 people had been hospitalized with Omicron in England.
The ministers moved to try winning conservative rebels, saying that people who have not highlighted double can offer evidence of negative lateral flow tests to gain access to indoor places of more than 500 rooms.
But some aren’t sure.
“It is very wrong that people must be expected to produce what is basically a health ID card before they can access services that must be available for all,” said conservative parliamentarians and former ministers, David Jones.
“People must definitely be encouraged to have a vaccine but in the end people must be responsible for their own health,” he told Reuters.
