LONDON: The British police said on Thursday they had arrested a suspect in the hunt for the killers of a teacher who was killed in London Park when he was a five minute walk from his house to meet a friend in a pub.
Sabina Nessa, 28, left her house in South London before 8:30 a.m.
On September 17, making his way through Cator Park to The Depot Bar in Pegler Square in Kidbrooke Village.
He never arrived and his body was found in the park the next afternoon.
“Sabina’s journey should have taken more than five minutes but he never managed to get to his destination,” said Inspector Detective Joe Garrity.
The police later said that they had arrested a 38-year-old man in Lewisham, South London, with suspicion of murder.
They also released images taken from TV security recordings of a man and vehicle, appealing to anyone who recognizes to make contact immediately.
“Every information about its identity or its existence can be vital for our investigation,” said Head of Inspector Detective Inspector Neil John.
Post Mortem is done on Monday it cannot be concluded, police said.
