LONDON: London police are looking for witnesses after attackers cut a woman with a knife in the corner of the speaker, a historic place in Hyde Park where people gather to talk and argue for more than 150 years.
The video shared on social media seems to show someone dressed in black approaching a woman wearing Charlie Hebdo T-shirt on Sunday.
The woman was then indicated by what appeared to be blood on her face when police officers helped her.
Police said his wounds were not considered life-threatening.
Superintendent Detective Alex Bingley from the Western Police Center Command Unit Metropolitan asks people “not to speculate about the motive of the attack until we have set full facts.” People have gathered at the corner of the speaker since the 1860s to run their right to freedom of speech, with historical figures such as Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and George Orwell is known to have visited to discuss the problems that day.
In recent years, topics such as Islamic fundamentalism are often displayed in debates.
Islamic extremists attacked the office of French satire magazine Charlie Hebdo in January 2015, killing 12 people.
The attack made a magazine, which has published the cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad, the symbol of freedom of speech.
