LONDON: The United Kingdom recorded the most daily Coronavirus case from the beginning of the pandemic on Wednesday as the Head of the Senior British Health said there might be a “shocking” increase for the next few days.
Infection 78,610 Covid-19 was subsequently reported, around 10,000 more than previously reported in January.
More than 11 million people have now tested the positive disease in the UK, which has a total population of around 67 million.
With the Omicron variant which greatly transplants new from the gliding virus throughout the UK, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned “tidal wave” infection.
However, he experienced a blow to his authority on Tuesday when suffering the biggest rebellion of his premiership when more than 100 members of parliament chose to the steps to curb the increasing spread of disease.
Jenny Harries, Chief Executive of the British Health Security Agency, previously called the Omicron variant “may be the most significant threat” since the commencement of Pandemi.
“The numbers we see on data for the next few days will be very surprising compared to the growth rate we have seen in cases for the previous variant,” he told the parliamentary committee.
Harries said that Omicron had the potential to place national health services “in serious danger” because the speed of infection increased.
The new variant of this virus has time to double under two days in most areas of the UK, with its growth rate being famous in London and Manchester in particular.
More than 10,000 cases of omicron were recorded, with at least 10 people being hospitalized.
One person has died after contracting a variant, which is set to become a dominant tension in London.
More than 146,000 people have died of Covid-19 in England.
