Rajkot: Four people, including Brother-in-law from the deceased, were ordered to reduce suicide of a 42-year-old man in Halvad City Morbi district on Friday.
According to police, Pratik Luhar (42), a resident of Raghu Nandan in Halvad, consumed poison on Wednesday in the city of Kalol in North Gujarat.
His wife Asha rushed to Halvad City for further treatment but she died on Thursday night.
Luhar late, who used to do fabrication work to get a livelihood, was reportedly harassed by his brother-in-law, Patel and three others from whom he had borrowed money.
After Luhar’s death, family members refused to do the last ceremony.
They demanded an arrest directly from the defendant who forced Luhar to take extreme steps.
On Thursday, the police filed a complaint against the exact patel, Suresh Patel, Dinesh Patel and one unknown person.
The wife of the late Asha, in his complaint said that Luhar had borrowed Rs 3 lakh from the right three months ago.
Since then the sniper and his men harassed Luhar.
Sometimes it returns to Luhar and Asha shifts to the city of Kalol, but the defendant continues with their abuse.
Asha also accused that after she brought Luhar to Halvad for treatment, her sister Manju opposed to hospitalization.
Manju insisted on Luhar given home treatment, Asha accused.
But Luhar shifted to the hospital when his condition deteriorated on Thursday.
Halvad police have submitted FIR and forward it to the Kalol Police Station for further investigation.
