LONDON: Eight fire trucks and 60 firefighters have been summoned for a fire at a multi-storey residential building in Deacon Street in London, London Fire Brigade reported on Thursday.
According to fire and rescue services, the fire epicenter is located on the balcony on the eighteenth floor.
“The crew evacuated the population on the three floors of the building which was influenced by smoke.
There are currently no reports of injury,” Dave Hill Station Commander said.
Deacon Street was blocked when firefighters overcame the flames.
In 2017, the fire broke out in the 24-storey Grenfell tower in Kensington North, London.
