Chandrapur: Part of the 40-year-old Blackberry tree trunk peeled with axes and efforts to burn it clearly to clean the room for parking in the Housing Colony Station Thermal Super (CSTP).
Sanjeahan NGOs Samajik SanStha (PPSS) Parage has filed a complaint with the Department of Forest and CSPP which demands action against the perpetrators.
NGO President Rajesh Bele claimed that forest officials found the tree aged 40 years.
“Trunk trees have more than 1.5 meters of circumference and 40 feet high.
Some criminals peel the luggage for three feet and then try to burn it,” Belle said.
He was afraid the tree would not last for one or two weeks.
The Department of Forest has registered a violation.
