Thiruvananthapuram: Five Panchayats and 12 civil body wards with a weekly infection population ratio (WPR) above 7% are under tight key limits in the district on Sunday.
Restrictions will take effect since Sunday midnight.
Kilimanoor, Mudakkal, Nanniyode, Pazhayakunnumel and Pulimath are five Panchayats under Lockle Lockdown.
All wards in Pancayat will be under the limit.
Ward number 5,12,14,16,23,24,28 in the city of Attingal and Bangsal number 11, 14, 20, 21, 36 in Nedumangadu Municipality will also be under locking.
Only shops that sell important items will be allowed to open from 7am to 7pm in this Panceshayats and civil body ward.
Meanwhile, locking restrictions were withdrawn in two wards – 4 and 10 – in Attingal Municipality and Ward Number 24 in Varkala Municipality on Sunday.
Attingal Municipality has recently encouraged Covid testing in return for vaccination by preparing an antigen test center close to vaccination centers.
Attingal Municipality has been in category C for more than two weeks in July under the categorization based on the Test Positivity Rate (TPR).
TPR remains above 10% for two weeks at Attingal Municipality in July.
It forces the health team and municipality to develop strategies to integrate vaccination with testing.
TPR has gone under 7% in the previous Attingal, however, the post onam the cases jumped in the municipality.
Mudakkal Panchayat is another local body where the outbreak of diseases in solid-populated colonies has a serious challenge for health authorities.
The detention zone was stated in the number 25 of Neyattinkara Municipality, number 5 of Manamboor Panchayat, Environmental Number Kallara Panchayat, Ward Number 17 of Nanniyode Panchayat on Sunday.
E-commerce institutions can function from 7am to 2 noon in the detention zone.
