Ludhiana: Offenders of garbage disposal and those who burn it now will be under Vigil CCTV.
The Civic body is ready with the command and integrated control center (ICCCC) under the Mission of City Smart where the camera installed under the City Safe project will be connected.
ICCC is expected to be inaugurated in the coming week.
Officials said they would guard the Solid Waste Breakers tab and those who endanger public property, such as damage and road encroachment.
“More than 300 new cameras will be installed and this will also be connected with ICCCC,” added officials.
Under the mission of City Smart, there are provisions to connect 1,742 cameras, where around 1,400 are installed and will be attached to the ICCCC.
In addition to 30 cameras installed by vehicles, 600 infrared illuminators will also be part of the project, namely the cost of Rs 35.96 Crore.
There are complaints of people and MC employees burning garbage instead of throwing it away.
In the absence of any evidence, there is no action that can be taken, even though there are provisions to impose a penalty for violations of solid waste.
But with CCTV supervision, officials will be in a position to take action.
Apart from this, garbage disposal in the Buddha Nullah and the Sidhwan canal can also be checked.
The screen has been installed in the ICCCC building and after the inauguration, monitoring will begin we will watch those who burn garbage, throw it anywhere on the side of the road or in the body of the water.
Encrustment efforts will also be checked.
More cameras will be installed under this project at the next stage.
“The ICCCC has been arranged at the Bawi D MC office and in many cities the project has worked.
